Lada Rasochova is an R&D Group Leader in Dowpharma, The Dow Chemical Company-Vaccines and Protectants. She has been involved in various aspects of biotechnology R&D since 1986. Dr. Rasochova received her M.S. degree in Genetics from the University of Prague, M.S. in Virology, and Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Iowa State University. Her Ph.D. research focused on molecular mechanisms of viral replication. Dr. Rasochova was a postdoctoral fellow in the Institute of Molecular Virology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison where she developed virus-based transient expression systems. Dr. Rasochova joined The Dow Chemical Company in 1998. Her principal focus at Dow has been the development of new, more efficient expression systems for vaccine antigen production based on both Pseudomonas fluorescens, and green plants. Dr. Rasochova has published numerous scientific abstracts and papers, and is an inventor or co-inventor of several patents.
